Old Tupton Ware is a classic handmade pottery range that is designed in the UK and made to the highest standards and is a fine collectable.

Each piece has many steps to the process from a sculptor making the perfect shape to the artwork design being transferred to the piece by a process called Tubelining. This is a process where by the raised outline is squeezed onto the piece in the form of a fine extrusion of liquified clay or slip squeezed through a glass tube from a bag led in the sculptor's hand. The metallic oxide based colours are applied entirely by hand , they are then left to dry before another colour is washed over the top until the desired effect is achieved. Colour density depends on the number of "washes" applied to the piece. the piece is then fired in a kiln after being dipped in transparent glaze. A second firing gives the brilliance of colour.

Express Post - Please stipulate before payment is made if you require your parcel sent express post so I can adjust the invoice with the express post rate. It is not possible to register express post items with Australia post. All items can be sent registered if it is not included in the shipping cost in the listing it can be added as an additional charge for $2.70 and is recommended as I do not take responsibility for lost or damaged items once they are in the hands of Australia Post or Fastway Couriers unless registered or on signature with Fastway. I take a great deal of care and bubble wrap to ensure items arrive in one piece. All of my items are new and inspected before they are dispatched.
