ANTIQUE / VINTAGE EMBROIDERY BIRDS PICTURES FROM JAPANESE CEREMONIAL SILK KIMOMO

This is a Set of Two, Framed and Matted Large Pictures. They are of Magnificent Embroidery Birds on Branches of Greenery Scenes. They originated from a Single Japanese Ceremonial White Wedding Silk Kimomo.

These are Large (approx. 27" x 20") Glass Gramed and Mounted Pictures. The Back were again, Professionally Done with the Wire Hangings. (see Third Picture) You can also see in that picture that it has been many years since the mounting was done. The Embroidery Birds Scenes are Done with such Beauty they just jump right at you. They are the first thing someone see in a room when they are Hung on the Wall.    At first glance you think they are a painting because of the way the colors of the silk threads are Masterfully Blended Together. All Done in the Sofisticated Japanese Style of Life and Movement.

*It is the Lady who owns them understanding that the Original Kimono was a Wedding Robe of a Great Grandmother who lived in Hawaii, she married an American and moved to the Mid-States, than later to the South. The Robe was Passed down thru the family. At some point it had a bad turn of events with some moths. Not wanting to keep the robe in that condition but also not wanting to let go of a family heirloomm she spoke to the other family members and they decided to have the Embroidery Parts Cut and Mounted. There are suppose to be four of these sets, this set being the largest, but she does not know who else in her family may have the others or if they still exist. She has no one to pass it down to so has decided to let it go, hopefully to someone who may enjoy them as she has these many years.
